From a column by: William Deresiewicz author (A Jane Austen Education)…“A recent study found that 10% of those working on Wall Street are ‘clinical psychopaths.’ These folk are incapable of interest or empathy toward other folks. They have and practice an unparalleled capacity for lying, fabrication and manipulation.”

Then does this follow? The rich (1%) of the world’s favored few lie, cheat and break the law on a continuous basis?

Wall Street is pure and raw Capitalism. It is an Evil place and the destructive union of psychopaths and control. The remaining (99%) of our world suffer…Pure Capitalism is a lie that we readily accept from birth-to-death. We are instructed to work for next-to-nothing and we commit our precious selves to wage slavery and claims that we are ‘blessed.’

Good capitalists are frauds and cheats. They promise the masses luxury and throw bits of this to a few through accounting fraud, tax evasion, toxic dumping, product safety violations, bid rigging, over-billing and perjury. A few companies caught: Enron, BP, Goldman, JP Morgan, Philip Morris, GE, Merck, Walmart and News Corp. We will succeed by screwing our workers, hurting our customers and destroying the land.

If corporations are people: These people are psychopaths: indifferent to others, incapable of guilt and completely devoted to their own interests.

Are there any ethical corporations and ethical business people? Maybe a few, however, in capitalism ethics are optional. Capitalist values are the opposite of Social survival. Churches, while a small step toward Socialism, are still proponents of an unregulated free market—me, me, me is substituted by the words Your Church. All Churches sell blue sky and are very successful businesses managed by psychopathic leaders and continued by a congregation of blind followers controlled since birth.

Capitalist values are the opposite of democratic values. The principles of a republican government asks us to consider the interests of others, however Capitalism is the single-minded pursuit of profit and every man for himself.

Very Important: Workers are the Creators of Wealth…Workers use labor to create wealth for entrepreneurs—the excess productivity, over and above wages and those ‘compensations’ continues as corporate profit…

Note: Most rich people are not entrepreneurs. They are executives of established corporations, institutional managers of other types, very wealthy doctors and lawyers, successful entertainers and athletes, people  inheriting wealth and people working on Wall Street…Hitler’s notion to imprisoned all speculators may have been a correct notion?

‘The poor mock themselves and glorify their betters. Our most destructive lie is that is very easy for Americans to make money. Continued lie…The poor are lazy, stupid and evil. The rich are brilliant, courageous and good. They shower their beneficence upon the rest of us.’

(Remember…The rich are psychopaths…Our schools, our businesses and our governments are managed by these psychopaths)! We must stop lying to ourselves and our children. In our present chapter of Life on Earth greed has beaten us. The new mantra is austerity. This is another word for doing more for less.

Her face and form danced within his dream. Tiny freckles, lips to laugh, eyes to dance and ears to hear the music of words and silence. Underneath a table and cloth they pressed together knee-to-knee. Then dream gone…Never explanations of nothing but life and why and gain and lost and oh…he thought you may have died and visited on your way star-side, just to let him know they were still…

Once upon a sailing ship, he saw her gown as the morning sun poured (if the morning sun can pour through anything) through a window and filled the doorway-sun-side framing her body as the opaque texture of her clothing changed because of the light, into a thin and transparent breeze across the shadow of her curves and her beauty and…never before had she been more naked or more clothed than she was on that morning.

Friends and caskets and funerals without flowers. Less mourners and small lines. What is left are folk circles talking and laughing and…Caskets usually look the same except for the little ones. These caskets are always too small and too heavy and hard to carry. A spiritual death?

This depends on the casket bearers and their knowledge of the little one. Inside those tiny boxes is a sorrow so; unexpected, unrequited, unresolved and not replaceable as the sorrow is unnatural. But here, inside the October City, the pressure of the cooker is a great and steaming beast as real as puppies in May and the death of a baby. It hurts and the parent so misses the child that is no longer with her.

However, puppy grows into dog and kittens lose interest in chasing streaks of yellow or green ribbon. Instead, they rest beneath the bright and benevolent sun, warm of bone and slowed with age. They live and they pass by naturally. They come into this world, into this cycle, into pleasure and into pain. And! With time their animation ends…

The mother cries against his shoulder and his shirt is damp because of her endless supply of tears. She is phantom. He fears that on this long walk down this even longer aisle  he may let her fall. This path has been followed too many times. The long walking aisle. There are those memories of other mothers and widows and fathers and of old men, and not so many of them anymore. He has never dropped anyone. Grief and grief and more grief and the gods listen to their cries and watch as tears enough fill basins as grows this insane sorrow.

No failure – because they lean against one another for balance and weakness and sorrow and memory and love.

Now! He walks with her down a carpeted aisle. It is an aisle-covered almost knee-deep in flowers that cannot be correct. They are too sweet a perfume to be real and they grow from metal stands and glass vases. Memory is a rattling frail movie without projector but still inside their minds. He has helped a few survivors through shattered hours of loss, of incredible loss, of baby loss, a sacred loss and a savaged proof that loss is not a sustainable reason for life. Loss is loss and hell is not replaced by heaven. It never disappoints those suffering the curses of death and sacred loss.

He is positive that he has never dropped anyone. Yes! Their precious sorrow and the gentle leaning into one another and following this worn carpet toward the words and tears that ends a little dream and begins another and well-oiled reality, is the now in this moment of life.

Amery Tavern was a meeting place for several teens and the few twenty year old girls and boys that still found life without plague-set. Vinny was one of these ” lucky” few and thought to be a last defense captain for Greendale Village. He was tired and streaked with that mixture of blood-splatter and ooze-liquid they all called rain. He carried a sawed-off short barreled shotgun and two old forty-five pistols. Around his waist was a double belt of bullets and bullet pouches and two belted shell looped carriers crisscrossed his chest front-to-back.

“You back ‘V’,” Genna a twenty-year old plague-free girl with dark hair and a combination of army jeans, shirt and a sweat-shirt pull-over directed toward him without looking up from her bottle of liquid.

“Yeah!” Vinny answered.“Where were you?  Several more Runners last night. They settled into rail-stop seven and held-out against us for ‘bout two hours. We fired too many rounds to waste them and…”

“Busy V.” she said. “I will be with you next time- Vin—no problem.” “You doing reloads today Genna?” “Yeah Vin…Yeah I’ll be there.”

Near Genna on the far-side of the bar, another twenty or so people, both rested from the night’s fighting or engaged in small talk without directing anything further toward Vinny or his people.

To Rule America Please:

Establish a harmonious society free of today’s enormous gap between the rich and the poor.

Rid government of corruption and replace this abomination with social justice.

Understand progress! Progress is a combination of success and failure. America’s leaders are cowards. They praise their successes and blame others for their failures.

Admit your mistakes and covet your corrections. Follow this method and your attempts to govern may become useful to all of us.

Govern by way of legislative revolution, realism and ‘soft control.’

The proper use of ‘Humane Authority’ dusts away the inhuman results of tyranny. All forms of ‘Inequality’ create enemies of the state and of the country. Inequality equals hate and revolution and ultimately war.

A ‘Hegemonic America’ has cheated both at home and aboard. The result: A government of indifference toward moral (not religious) concerns and violence against non-allies.

Presently: America’s condition equals a country of scattered revolution (little ‘r’). America’s heart and soul is both attacked and is dying.

If a true Revolution (big ‘R’) does not overnight appear and succeed – America is dead. Then…’Long live Tyranny’?

What happens if it loses the faithful? A world-wide “run” on banks could bring America to a terrifying and an ugly end. Would the end of America’s end happen quickly? Yes! Will America’s ‘Dance Bolshevik’ be a Ballet or a Twist of terror?

Our government is already gone except for the lies and the lies, sans the Entertainment of  ‘News Today,’ have ended us without a single bang?

And! A cure for our present and ailing economy is Socialism? Socialism is already attached to our financial means and ways and solutions. Three hundred and twenty million souls must never trust nor tolerate more uncertainties in our current plant-slash-and burn free market paradigm. Have I written the word “Greed?”

The broad measure of Government and its control of both large and failing business will not fix our economic diseases. The solution is a war against the Greed of Destruction. This economy is neither a Type Reagan, nor another novel cure by Lee Iacocca/Chrysler.

We are a no-pain-no-gain social beast and we believe that a salvation of today’s Capitalism is possible. No! We are the children of the Greed of our own destruction. Pour trillions of dollars on the warming fire. Today’s misery will mean a cold and most harsh future for our children. A ghost of a future Christmas Future and…And! Past Greed?

Lionel Butler (Editor of the Financial Times) offers a quote from both Gary Becker and Kevin Murphy’s argument that “politicians should avoid a ‘cure’ which ends up killing the ailing patient.” However, their patient has already flat lined. So! Dead and onto or into another robust or not new patient. Welcome Socialism and hi-ho and tral-la and yippee -yi and off to work we go…

Finally! Nationalized medicine and Federal jobs and the creation of new jobs for millions of our Unemployed American Workers. Think National Socialism…Think Revolution and be free to work again…America’s Workers Union…

Financial ruin, across the Atlantic, may destroy Europe and the EU and the final countdown of Old-World Capitalism and Colonialism. Anyway, Responsible Capitalism is dead. This response never was and never will become a force for decency or wages to earn a decent living—doncha know!
